ABOUT.TXT

Welcome to Void Inc.

You are the new Head of Technology at Void Inc. A small software company with ambitious targets, unstable infrastructure, and an unusually attentive CEO.

Every morning begins the same way:

Drink the company coffee.
Answer the CEO’s call.
Plan the work.
Keep the business alive.

At first, the job is almost normal.

Then the office starts changing...

Survive the Workday

Each day, the CEO assigns your priorities. Decide what to handle personally, what to delegate, and which problems can safely be ignored until tomorrow.

Your work is performed through fast, tactile minigames:

  • Sort incoming emails in a rhythm-based triage game.
  • Repair failing infrastructure by reconnecting power circuits.
  • Debug broken software through increasingly unstable code puzzles.
  • Produce the CEO’s weekly report in a typing challenge based on what actually happened.

Ignored work does not disappear. Emails escalate, technical debt grows, customers lose trust, and neglected servers return as larger emergencies.

Keep Yourself Together

Stress and sanity affect more than a status bar.

At zero sanity, you do not simply lose. You collapse, lose precious time, and wake up to find that the company continued without you.

Build the Company......Carefully

Earn revenue, purchase upgrades, improve the office, and hire staff to take work off your hands.

A support specialist can handle the inbox.
A developer can review code.
A DevOps engineer can maintain infrastructure.
An AI assistant can automate almost anything.

They can also fail, call in sick, create new problems, or return work that you must inspect yourself.

Every improvement is a trade-off. Faster growth creates more pressure. Automation introduces new risks. New features generate sales, but neglected maintenance may collapse the systems supporting them.

Compete With Other Companies

Void Inc. is not operating alone.

Track rival companies, compare performance, and if the CEO decides normal competition is not enough you could take part in off-book operations against them.

Successful sabotage can damage a competitor’s position.

Failure can be expensive.

Getting caught is worse.

Discover What Void Inc. Is Hiding

The company is growing, but its purpose is unclear.

Why does the CEO monitor the building so closely?
What is the software actually being used for?
Why do parts of the office seem older than the company itself?
Why do some employees behave as though they have worked here before?

Explore the office, uncover restricted information, experience supernatural events, and piece together a story hidden beneath your work day.

Progress is not only measured in revenue.

.....Clock in....

...Keep the servers running....

..Do not ask what they are running for.

The job description

Run the company. Survive the work.

Every system feeds the next: today’s shortcuts become tomorrow’s problems, and the company remembers more than it should.

Plan under pressure

Build a workable day from limited time, urgent requests, and a CEO who treats every new idea like a fire alarm.

Get your hands dirty

Triage e-mail to the beat, reroute broken circuits, hotfix code, repel infestations, and survive the weekly report.

Build a team

Hire specialists, delegate tasks, review performance, and decide how much trust you can afford to place in other people.

Invest in tomorrow

Buy permanent upgrades, improve the office, automate routine work, and find new ways to stay ahead of the queue.

Watch the cracks spread

As your sanity erodes, the interface distorts, the music detunes, and ordinary work begins to reveal something impossible.

A day at Void Inc.

One shift. Too many systems.

Your routine is predictable right up until it isn’t.

  1. 09:00

    Draw your coffee

Start the shift with a card from the coffee deck. The right brew can save a bad day. The wrong one can define it.

  2. 09:03

    Take the CEO’s call

Learn what management needs immediately, then fit it around the work the company already cannot afford to ignore.

  3. 09:15

    Work the queue

Triage e-mail to the beat, repair circuits, patch code, and deal with incidents before the clock runs out.

  4. 17:00

    Face the numbers

Review revenue, server health, staff morale, and the consequences of everything you chose not to finish.

Something is wrong

The office notices when you’re struggling.

Stress is not just another number to manage. As your grip slips, the game itself becomes less reliable, and the things hiding beneath the routine get closer.
